About the Role

The Investment Analyst role at Huzzle is a key position in the company's strategic finance and fundraising efforts. As a high-caliber finance professional, you will work directly with leadership to build financial frameworks and investor materials that drive the company's rapid expansion. This is a front-line position that requires a unique blend of financial modeling, valuation, and storytelling skills.

The role entails working closely with the leadership team to develop sophisticated financial models and valuation analyses, creating institutional-grade investor materials, and managing the investor relations pipeline. You will also conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis, and support capital raising initiatives by managing data rooms and responding to due diligence inquiries.

As part of the team, you will be expected to excel at translating complex data into compelling investment narratives, and have a deep understanding of valuation methodologies and three-statement modeling.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models and valuation analyses to support fundraising and strategic decision-making
  • Lead the creation of institutional-grade investor materials, including pitch decks, investment memorandums, and board presentations
  • Manage the investor relations pipeline, drafting updates and performance reports for stakeholders
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis within the consumer, food-tech, and logistics sectors
  • Support capital raising initiatives by managing data rooms and responding to due diligence inquiries
  • Partner with senior leadership to synthesize operational KPIs into financial forecasts
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's financial performance and position
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize financial performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and expansion

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field
  • 2-5 years of professional finance experience, with at least 1-2 years specifically in Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Corporate Development
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling) and PowerPoint (deck design)
  • Proven track record of creating investor-facing materials and pitch books
  • Deep understanding of valuation methodologies (DCF, Comps, etc.) and three-statement modeling
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work US Eastern Time hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Big 4 Transaction Advisory Services (TAS)
  • Prior experience in high-growth startups or the Consumer/F&B/Marketplace industries
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, FMVA, or an MBA
  • Experience managing end-to-end capital raises
