About the Role

The Investment Management Consultant II role at Fidelity Investments is a pivotal position that focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences through managed accounts and financial planning services. Day-to-day, the consultant will partner with the Financial Consultant team to address the most complex sales and service needs of clients, leveraging expertise in managed accounts to drive customer retention and sales. What You Will Do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on managed accounts and their processes, focusing on customer experience, retention, and sales.
  • Handle the most complex managed account sales and service needs, including risk mitigation and representing Advisory Services' voice to the customer.
  • Conduct Annual Plan Reviews, presenting recommendations and facilitating discussions on retention and additional sales opportunities.
  • Manage a diverse book of 1:1 covered clients with assets under management, partnering with the Wealth Management Team to deliver comprehensive advisory support.
  • Build strong, trust-based partnerships with Wealth Management Team members and branch colleagues to drive shared goals and elevate the client experience.
  • Participate in joint phone calls with Financial Consultants and clients for Annual Plan Reviews and other critical discussions.
  • Demonstrate effective practice management capabilities and consultative selling skills to handle a book of business on behalf of Fidelity Personal and Workplace Advisors LLC.
  • Engage in pre and post sales conversations with clients, establishing expectations on performance, fees, portfolio construction, rebalancing, and reallocation strategies.
  • Utilize internal support resources effectively to manage client relationships and drive sales outcomes.
  • Conduct profiling, funding, investing procedures, and ensure risk mitigation and compliance oversight.

What We Are Looking For

  • FINRA Series 7 & 66 licensed and hold appropriate state registrations, or the ability to acquire Series 66 upon hire.
  • Minimum of 4 years of previous financial services experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Professional designation (CFP) is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the managed account industry and Fidelity's managed offerings.
  • Broad-based knowledge and understanding of general financial planning concepts, including managed solutions.
  • Demonstrated customer service, relationship management, and sales skills.
  • Strong understanding of asset allocation, tax planning, and estate planning to service each client's distinct investment needs.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone.
  • Aptitude for decision-making and good judgment, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
