About the Role
As an Investor Research Analyst at YipitData, you will play a critical role in shaping the data-driven future of investment research. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and developing strategic insights to inform high-stakes decisions. You will work closely with our data team to build new research products and features, and collaborate with our sales, client strategy, and marketing teams to position our products to clients.Our research team is at the forefront of market research and analytics, and we are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and deeply contextualized analysis to our clients. What You Will Do
- Create and communicate valuable insights from our datasets to inform high-stakes decisions
- Develop SQL-driven granular analysis to derive trends from large datasets
- Build cohort, concentration, penetration, and competitive analyses to identify market trends
- Collaborate with our data team to build new research products and features
- Work with our sales, client strategy, and marketing teams to position our products to clients
- Become a trusted resource for our subscribers, providing strategic insights and guidance
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments, applying this knowledge to drive actionable insights
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in equity research or management consulting-styled writing
- Background in equity research or business analysis, with a passion for data-driven fundamental investing
- Commitment to learning new technology skills and working at a company where everyone learns to code
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivery and results
Nice to Have
- Experience covering the consumer or consumer tech sectors
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
