## About the Role As an IoT Engineer at Bright Vision Technologies, you will play a key role in designing and building connected, data-driven industrial systems that span the factory floor to enterprise cloud platforms. Your work will have a significant impact on the company's mission to transform business processes through technology. You will be part of a dynamic team and work closely with cross-functional partners, including product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders. The role of an IoT Engineer is multifaceted, requiring a strong foundation in software engineering, industrial protocols, edge computing, and cloud IoT platforms. You will be responsible for architecting end-to-end IIoT solutions, ensuring secure connectivity, and building real-time analytics and predictive maintenance models. Your work will involve collaboration with various teams to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions. As the company continues to grow, it is looking for talented individuals who can contribute to its mission and vision. ## What You Will Do - Architect end-to-end IIoT solutions, including edge devices, gateways, connectivity, and cloud platforms - Design data acquisition pipelines from PLCs, SCADA, and sensors using protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, and Sparkplug B - Build edge computing applications using AWS IoT Greengrass, Azure IoT Edge, or similar platforms - Implement secure connectivity using mTLS, certificate management, and zero-trust patterns - Build cloud ingestion and processing pipelines using AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Kafka, or similar - Develop real-time analytics, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance models that turn raw telemetry from industrial assets into actionable signals for operations - Work closely with cross-functional partners to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions - Participate in code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers - Collaborate with the product team to define and prioritize product requirements - Engage with the design team to develop user-friendly and intuitive interfaces - Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of IIoT solutions ## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in the field of industrial IoT - Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python - Experience with industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, and Sparkplug B - Knowledge of edge computing platforms such as AWS IoT Greengrass or Azure IoT Edge - Familiarity with cloud IoT platforms such as AWS IoT Core or Azure IoT Hub - Understanding of secure connectivity principles, including mTLS and zero-trust patterns - Experience with real-time analytics and predictive maintenance models - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements - Proficiency in Excel and experience with data analysis and visualization tools ## Nice to Have - Experience with cloud-based IoT platforms such as Google Cloud IoT Core or IBM Watson IoT - Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their application in industrial IoT - Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git - Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes - Certification in IoT or a related field ## Benefits and Perks - Competitive base salary commensurate with experience - Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) retirement plan with company match - Generous PTO policy and paid holidays - Remote work stipend and support for home office setup - Opportunities for career growth and professional development - Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools - Collaborative and dynamic work environment
