About the Role
As an IS Applications Analyst at Providence, you will be responsible for managing and implementing complex IS applications, providing solutions to moderately complex problems, and coordinating project team activities. This role is critical to the organization's success, as it enables the effective use of technology to support patient care and operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze user requirements, develop and implement systems, and initiate course corrections to stay on schedule.The IS Applications Analyst role is part of the Enterprise Information Services team, which plays a vital role in supporting the organization's mission to provide high-quality patient care. As a key member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from implementing new systems to optimizing existing ones. What You Will Do
- Manage and implement complex IS applications, including Epic systems
- Provide solutions to moderately complex problems and initiate course corrections to stay on schedule
- Coordinate project team activities and act as a source of direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff
- Analyze user requirements and develop and implement systems to meet those needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new or revised system requirements or procedures
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide support for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Participate in quality assurance and testing to ensure system reliability and stability
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure effective use of IS applications
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for process improvements
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field
- Epic accreditation or certification within 90 days of hire
- At least 4 years of industry-related experience in healthcare IS
- Experience with project management and team coordination
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows
- Experience with software applications, technology infrastructure, and clinical specializations

- Experience with managed care and healthcare IT systems
