About the Role
The IT Manager - Infrastructure & Services is a critical position at BioPhorum, responsible for managing and maintaining the company's cloud-first IT environment. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently, and providing technical support to colleagues across the business. The successful candidate will be an experienced IT professional with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT service management.As a key member of the IT team, the IT Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the company's technology landscape, including implementing new technologies, improving processes, and working with third-party suppliers. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The IT Manager will report to the IT Director and will be part of a collaborative team that is passionate about delivering exceptional IT services to the business. What You Will Do
- Manage and maintain BioPhorum's Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud infrastructure
- Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, and endpoint management
- Provide responsive technical support and resolve complex user issues
- Strengthen the company's cybersecurity posture through practical security controls and best practices
- Manage device lifecycle, user access, patching, backups, and business continuity activities
- Work with third-party IT providers to ensure excellent service delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve resilience, automate processes, and enhance the user experience
- Support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and service improvements
- Collaborate with the IT team to deliver IT services that meet the needs of the business
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
What We Are Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Experience administering Entra ID, endpoint management, and collaboration platforms
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, devices, and user support
- Good knowledge of IT service management, patching, backups, and change control
- Practical understanding of cybersecurity and operational risk
- Experience working with third-party suppliers and managed service providers
- Ability to prioritize competing demands while delivering an excellent service
- Experience with Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and other SaaS business platforms
- Microsoft, Azure, ITIL, or cybersecurity certifications
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud migration and deployment
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and service management best practices
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages
