About the Role
The IT Product Owner role at OnTrac is a crucial position that requires partnering with Product Management and cross-functional teams to translate business needs and stakeholder priorities into a clear, actionable product backlog. This role is pivotal in a fast-paced Agile environment, where the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously is key. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to ensure that the product backlog is up-to-date and reflects the company's strategic objectives.The day-to-day activities of the IT Product Owner will involve collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, analyzing market trends, and working with the development team to ensure that the product meets the required specifications. This role requires a deep understanding of Agile principles and the ability to apply them in a real-world setting. The IT Product Owner will also be responsible for managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that it is aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform product development
- Work with the development team to ensure that the product meets the required specifications
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog to ensure it is aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with product development
- Develop and implement processes to improve product development and delivery
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Agile and product ownership
- Facilitate sprint planning and retrospectives to ensure the development team has a clear understanding of priorities and goals
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles and practices
- Experience in Logistics or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with product backlog management and prioritization
- Understanding of business needs and stakeholder priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-based technologies
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles
- Certification in Agile or Scrum
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
