About the Role

The IT Vendor Manager position is a critical component of ClearCaptions, LLC's commitment to delivering exceptional service and solutions to its customers. As the leader of the IT Vendor Relations Managers team, this role oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of third-party vendor relationships, ensuring that vendors deliver measurable business value. This involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Security, Compliance, IT Directors, and other business stakeholders, to ensure cost transparency, operational accountability, and alignment with company priorities.

The IT Vendor Manager will be responsible for setting priorities, establishing standards for vendor governance, and ensuring consistent execution of vendor management practices across the organization. This role provides lifecycle oversight of vendor performance, commercial terms, contract governance, and operational alignment, making it a pivotal position in maintaining the trust and confidence of ClearCaptions, LLC's customers.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the IT Vendor Relations Managers team in managing the lifecycle of third-party vendor relationships.
  • Serve as the primary owner for assigned vendor relationships, ensuring delivery against contractual commitments, SLAs, and business expectations.
  • Oversee vendor lifecycle activities, including onboarding, governance, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Escalate performance or contractual risks as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Lead or support negotiations for vendor contracts, including renewals, amendments, and commercial adjustments.
  • Partner with Legal to ensure appropriate performance metrics, pricing protections, and risk safeguards.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities and prevent value leakage.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs, and conduct structured vendor performance reviews.
  • Maintain documentation and visibility of contractual commitments and obligations, and track remediation plans to address underperformance.
  • Partner with Finance to support forecasting, budgeting, and spend tracking, and monitor spend against forecasts to identify and address variances.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in managing IT vendors, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of contract governance, vendor performance management, and operational alignment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting, with a focus on cost optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to escalate and resolve issues promptly.
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks and standards.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
