About the Role

The Java API + ATG Developer position at Photon is a critical role that requires a skilled professional to work on the company's API management project. What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and implement APIs using Java and ATG
  • Work on the company's existing application built on Java/JSP servlets, Spring, and Hibernate
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of APIs with the existing application
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues with the application and APIs
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall quality of the codebase
  • Work with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for the APIs and application
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software
  • Participate in agile development methodologies and contribute to the iterative improvement of the software development process
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in API management and Java development

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in application development using Java, J2EE, and related technologies
  • Experience working with API development and management
  • Strong knowledge of Java, JSP servlets, and Hibernate
  • Experience working with open-source tools and frameworks such as Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Apache
  • Experience with RESTful Web Services and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of relational database structure and design using MySQL
  • Experience working with application servers such as JBOSS, Websphere, and Tomcat
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
