Job Description

About the Role

The Senior Automation QA role at CI&T is a critical position that entails ensuring the quality and reliability of the company's B2B e-commerce platform, which is active in 40 countries. As a senior automation QA, you will be working in a collaborative, innovative, and multicultural environment, contributing to the transformation and continuous improvement of the business model. Your expertise will help drive the delivery of high-quality software solutions that align with the company's clients' expectations.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in a global e-commerce environment. You will be responsible for creating, executing, and managing test cases for REST services, mobile applications, and various software components. You will also be required to automate testing processes using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, and Appium.

What You Will Do

  • Take ownership of quality assurance within your context
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in a global e-commerce environment
  • Create, execute, and manage test cases for REST services, mobile applications, and various software components
  • Automate testing processes using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, and Appium
  • Conduct end-to-end testing and ensure comprehensive testing coverage
  • Utilize API testing tools to verify API functionality and reliability
  • Engage in analytical problem-solving to identify and resolve issues effectively
  • Implement CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps and manage version control with Git
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize testing requirements
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to ensure regression testing coverage

What We Are Looking For

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Swift, or Kotlin
  • Experience with test management tools, preferably JIRA with Zephyr
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and software management tools
  • Strong background in functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and API testing
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing quality issues
  • Experience with test automation frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies

Nice to Have

  • Experience with load testing, stress testing, or systems monitoring
  • Familiarity with best practices in software testing methodologies
  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms
