## About the Role As a Jointer at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the company's HV and LV Network. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include carrying out jointing, cabling, and excavation work on a pre-planned and quick response basis. ## What You Will Do - Carry out jointing, cabling, and excavation work on the HV and LV Network - Respond quickly to emergency situations and provide a reliable service to customers - Work outdoors in all weather conditions and undertake out-of-hours standby duties - Provide excellent customer service at all times and act as an ambassador for the company - Ensure that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company guidelines - Carry out pre-planned and quick response work on the network - Work independently and make decisions quickly in emergency situations - Collaborate with other team members to achieve great results - Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge - Comply with all relevant regulations and industry standards

## What We Are Looking For - Previous experience as a Jointer in the electrical industry - Recognized cable jointing qualification in either LV, HV, 11kV, or 33kV - Proven track record in construction, repair, and operation of electrical plant and equipment up to 11kV on DNO networks - Good HV and LV electrical knowledge - Flexible approach to complete out-of-hours standby duties and attend short notice work in the event of severe weather - High regard for safety and ability to adhere to guidelines - Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical aspects in a transferable manner - Enthusiasm and drive with a flexible approach to work - Ability to adapt to changing business and project priorities - Full UK driving license

## Nice to Have - Experience carrying out excavation of joint holes with hand tools and using a mini excavator - Training in first aid and emergency response - Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
