About the Role

The AI Legal Specialist role at EverAI is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals passionate about AI and e-commerce regulation. As a key member of the Compliance Team, you will be responsible for managing legal and compliance-related workflows and projects, ensuring the company's operations are aligned with regulatory requirements. This role matters because it enables EverAI to navigate the complex landscape of AI and e-commerce law, driving innovation while maintaining the highest standards of compliance.

Day-to-day, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, product, and engineering, to identify and mitigate potential risks. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the company's compliance strategy, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new policies and procedures. The team is collaborative and fast-paced, with a strong focus on execution, planning, and strategy.

What You Will Do

  • Own and manage legal and compliance-related workflows and projects, ensuring timely and effective completion
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AI and e-commerce regulation, staying up-to-date with emerging trends and developments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, providing expert guidance on compliance matters
  • Analyze complex legal concepts and distill them into plain English, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of new policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company goals
  • Provide training and support to teams on compliance matters, promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organization
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations
  • Stay informed about industry developments and emerging trends, applying this knowledge to improve compliance and regulatory affairs

What We Are Looking For

  • Legal education (e.g., Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, recognized legal certification)
  • 2-6 years of experience as a legal counsel or in a similar position, preferably in AI or e-commerce
  • Ability to distill complex legal concepts into plain English, with excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Perfectly fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Goal-oriented, with a strong commitment to ownership and execution
  • Interest in AI and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance execution, planning, and strategy
