What You Will Do

  • Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly and professional manner
  • Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols
  • Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions
  • Maintain a professional demeanor throughout interpreting sessions
  • Remain calm during interpreting sessions, even in emergency situations
  • Follow client instructions and comply with protocol to ensure client expectations are met
  • Understand protocol and terminology for various industries, including medical, insurance, finance, and law
  • Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity and working in a diverse environment
  • Use Excel to track and manage data related to interpreting sessions
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge

What We Are Looking For

  • Fluency in both Karenni and English languages
  • Excellent communication and interpretation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to multiple interpreting sessions
  • Strong cultural sensitivity and awareness

  • Technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use online platforms
