About the Role
Zelis Healthcare is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Engineer to lead the design, construction, and management of its Kubernetes platforms. This role plays a vital part in the company's cloud modernization strategy and involves hands-on contributions to architecture and operational support.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement Kubernetes platforms on AWS.
- Manage multi-account and multi-region deployments, adhering to AWS Well-Architected principles.
- Define essential platform capabilities, including compute autoscaling, load balancing, network policies, and storage drivers.
- Develop platform roadmaps and ensure alignment across engineering, security, and product teams.
- Oversee lifecycle management, patching, and configurations like OS, Kubelet, and CRI.
Requirements
- Proven history of working with Kubernetes in a production environment.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
- Experience leading technical projects and cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with container standards and FinOps.
- Previous experience in a technical authority or advisory role.
