About the Role
The Large Corp TM Officer III position at Fifth Third Bank is a critical role that involves generating new business from prospects and under-penetrated clients within the Metals, Materials, and Construction sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of the clients' business environments, strategies, and industry to determine their requirements and identify potential new business opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with relationship managers to drive efforts to expand existing business with current clients and provide feedback to product managers.The role is part of a larger team focused on treasury management solutions, and the officer will be responsible for managing client relationships and developing strategic sales plans. This involves operating within the Bank's risk appetite and achieving results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
Given the nature of the role, it is essential to have a strong understanding of the competitors' capabilities and gaps and how to position Fifth Third against them. This knowledge, combined with excellent selling and negotiation skills, will enable the officer to promote sales through frequent client meetings and discussions covering new products, market, and industry developments.
What You Will Do
- Drive the development of new profitable business with a designated portfolio of prospects and clients
- Develop strategic sales plans and execute them in coordination with relationship managers and other teams
- Manage client visitation and contact to understand their business environments and strategies
- Identify potential new business opportunities and provide appropriate solutions
- Understand the competitions' capabilities and gaps to position Fifth Third effectively
- Promote sales through client meetings and discussions
- Manage proposal writing and the sales process
- Develop and enhance in-depth client knowledge and share client risk
- Work closely with relationship managers to expand existing business with current clients
- Provide feedback to product managers to drive product development
- Generate cross-sell opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other lines of business
- Utilize various PC and internet-based systems to manage the business portfolio
What We Are Looking For
- At least 7 years of large corporate cash management, sales, and relationship management experience
- Experience supporting or selling Treasury Management solutions to clients within the Metals, Materials, and Construction sectors
- Strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Ability to generate ideas and drive the development of new business
- Excellent selling and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong industry/market expertise
- Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills

- Series 7 and 63 licenses or the ability to obtain them
