About the Role
As a Large Loss Property Adjuster at Allstate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to policyholders who have experienced significant property damage. Your primary responsibility will be to travel to customers' homes to conduct on-site inspections, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly and efficiently. This role requires a unique blend of technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring that policyholders receive the support they need during difficult times.The Large Loss Property Adjuster role is an integral part of Allstate's claims handling process, and you will be expected to work independently to resolve complex claims. Your expertise will be focused on large-scale fire and water losses, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of support and resolution for these specific claims. You will also be responsible for handling virtual claims countrywide, leveraging various platforms and software such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration.
What You Will Do
- Conduct on-site inspections of damaged properties to assess the extent of the damage and determine the scope of the claim
- Investigate coverage and prepare estimates using Xactimate and other relevant software
- Settle claims promptly and efficiently, ensuring that policyholders receive fair and timely compensation
- Handle virtual claims countrywide, using various platforms and software to communicate with customers and resolve claims
- Collaborate with vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants to evaluate and negotiate claims settlements
- Use effective communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service and ensure that policyholders are kept informed throughout the claims process
- Utilize multiple tools, including estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms, to resolve claims efficiently and effectively
- Protect the company financially by executing policies along policy agreements and keeping accurate records of all claims activity
- Travel to customers' homes as part of the job requirements, with the ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with up to a 6/12 pitch
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of previous experience as an outside adjuster, with a strong background in handling large loss property claims
- Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for estimating
- Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claims settlements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims countrywide effectively
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality work
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to resolve complex claims
Nice to Have
- Experience handling claims with multiple trades and over 00,000 in losses
- Strong knowledge of construction principles and practices
- Certification as a property adjuster or related field
- Experience with ClaimsX Video Collaboration and other claims handling software
