About the Role
The Law Clerk II position at ITC Federal is a fully remote opportunity to support the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in its complex litigation mission. As part of the MEGA 6 automated litigation support program, this role will be integral to providing legal research, document management, and litigation support services. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting legal research, preparing draft legal documents, and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.About ITC Federal

- Conduct complex legal research using various resources, including LEXIS and Westlaw
- Prepare draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and memoranda of law
- Review documents for relevance and privilege
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation
- Act as a primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff
- Lead larger projects independently or as part of a team
- Utilize ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources
- Manage and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and imaging systems
- Apply sound knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of legal research tools and resources
What We Are Looking For
- Law degree from an accredited institution
- At least two to three years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects
- Proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance prior to start
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
- Hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging

- Experience with document review and file management systems
