About the Role
The Lead Animator role at Eleventh Hour Games is a unique opportunity to drive the vision for gameplay animation and collaborate closely with the design team. As a lead animator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality animations that enhance the game experience and provide direction and context to achieve a cohesive style. You will work closely with the design team to understand animation needs and lead the execution of animation design and implementation.The role entails a deep understanding of development cycles and workflows, as well as the ability to mentor and guide the team effectively. You will be expected to communicate openly in an indie environment, stay agile when priorities shift, and make thoughtful, efficient decisions to keep production moving smoothly.

What You Will Do
- Work closely with the design team to understand animation needs and lead execution on animation design and implementation
- Create and facilitate project schedules, ensuring timely completion of animation projects
- Provide direction and context to achieve a cohesive style across all animations
- Collaborate with the design team to create high-quality animations that enhance the game experience
- Mentor and guide the animation team to ensure high-quality animations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in animation and game development
- Communicate openly and effectively with the design team and other stakeholders
- Make thoughtful, efficient decisions to keep production moving smoothly
- Participate in the development of the game's overall vision and direction
