About the Role

The Lead Cleaner role at ABM Industries is a vital position that ensures the smooth operation of cleaning services at the Plaza Isabela location. As a Lead Cleaner, you will be responsible for managing a team of cleaners, coordinating daily operations, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. You will work closely with the management team to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed, and that the facility is always clean and safe for employees and customers.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in a similar position, preferably in a supervisory or leadership capacity. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage a team effectively. What You Will Do

  • Manage a team of cleaners and coordinate daily operations to ensure seamless cleaning services
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed, and that the facility is always clean and safe for employees and customers
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, and report any issues or concerns to management
  • Operate specialized equipment, handle cleaning chemicals, and perform general janitorial duties as needed
  • Provide supervision and guidance to team members, and assist with training and onboarding new employees
  • Manage keys and access cards for the property, and report any damaged or broken items
  • Oversee and perform additional service requests, and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard
  • Monitor and document client communications, and provide open communication between field employees and management
  • Assist with making daily and weekly work schedules, and oversee the quality of jobs and confirm completion with the Area Manager
  • Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees

What We Are Looking For

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required, but preferred
  • 1 year of similar work experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership capacity
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a facility management or cleaning services role
  • Certification in a related field, such as OSHA or CPR
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience with specialized equipment or software
