About the Role

The Lead Contracts Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with corporate policies, government regulations, and contract requirements. As a key member of the Federal Group, this position will provide strategic contractual and regulatory advice to project managers, program managers, and executives. The successful candidate will have experience supporting Department of Defense/War agencies and possess strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific acquisition regulations.

The Lead Contracts Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal, and finance, to ensure seamless contract execution. This role requires a deep understanding of contract lifecycle management, from pre-award to closeout, and the ability to navigate complex contract agreements.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the lead on complex contracts of moderate to high risk, applying expert knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific acquisition regulations
  • Provide strategic contractual and regulatory advice to project managers, program managers, business line leadership, and executives
  • Perform detailed reviews of solicitations, contracts, task orders, modifications, and other agreements to identify risk, compliance, and business issues
  • Advise management on contractual rights, obligations, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure organizational compliance with contract terms, applicable laws, and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and complete contract files in the Contracts Lifecycle Management (CLM) System
  • Support pursuits and proposals by reviewing solicitations, identifying risks, and advising on compliance and pricing strategies
  • Assist with drafting questions to the Government regarding identified solicitation and contract risks
  • Prepare and review teaming agreements, joint venture agreements, master service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements
  • Participate in negotiations of prime contracts, subcontracts, task orders, and modifications

  • Proven track record of managing complex contracts and ensuring compliance
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Adjust, and Excel
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
