About the Role

The Lead Cyber Fusion Engineer at Experian plays a critical role in the company's Cyber Fusion Centre, which is responsible for enterprise-wide cyber response, security investigations, and digital forensics. This position involves designing, building, and supporting cloud-based engineering environments that are pivotal for security investigations, digital forensics, and eDiscovery. The successful candidate will be working closely with various teams, including enterprise technology, security, and governance partners, to ensure that the platforms developed are inclusive, resilient, and aligned with organizational standards.

The role of a Lead Cyber Fusion Engineer is multifaceted, requiring a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies, cyber security principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments. The engineer will be responsible for creating secure, scalable technical environments that support critical operations, contributing to the growth of Cyber Fusion capabilities within Experian.

What You Will Do

  • Design and build cloud-based engineering environments for security investigations, digital forensics, and eDiscovery, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and compliant with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Fusion teams, Information Security Risk Management, governance partners, and enterprise technology teams to align platforms with security, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, service models, SLAs, and RACI frameworks to ensure clarity, accountability, and collaboration across teams.
  • Act as the technical architect for Cyber Fusion engineering environments, providing expertise in cloud engineering and cyber security.
  • Design and maintain secure, cloud-based lab environments for investigations and analysis, leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
  • Build scalable solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
  • Develop automation and CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and consistency in provisioning, configuration, patching, and maintenance processes.
  • Integrate Cyber Fusion platforms with enterprise security and investigative tools, ensuring seamless operations and data flow.
  • Ensure environments remain secure, resilient, and up-to-date through patching and vulnerability remediation, managing access controls, and maintaining standardized system images and platform documentation.
  • Collaborate with security and governance partners to meet compliance and resilience standards, adhering to the highest security practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 12 years of technical experience in roles such as IT Engineering, Digital Forensics, Information Security/Cyber Security, Incident Response, Cyber Security Engineering, or Information Security software/tool development.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security/Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles, including security investigations, digital forensics, and eDiscovery.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
  • Ability to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable engineering environments.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across different departments and teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines, and the ability to develop and maintain them.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a leadership role, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to cyber security and data protection.
  • Certification in cyber security, such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
