Lead, Data Center Physical Security Operations (North America)

What You Will Do

• Own the physical security program across North America, including owned sites and colocation partners
• Partner with data center build and operations teams to ensure security scope is defined and delivered
• Develop and maintain policies, standards, and SOPs for physical security in the region
• Manage vendor relationships, including integrators, guard-force providers, and general contractors
• Lead incident response and investigations, representing the region in cross-functional forums
• Collaborate with infrastructure, compute, and real estate partners to shape decisions and drive security outcomes
• Author and maintain physical security policies, standards, and SOPs, ensuring alignment with company-wide frameworks
• Drive security outcomes through cross-functional partners, shaping decisions and influencing business outcomes
• Manage a real vendor portfolio, with SLAs, budget, and performance accountability

What We Are Looking For

• Extensive experience operating physical security at hyperscale or major colocation operators across multiple sites
• Direct ownership of the operating model, vendors, and on-call responsibilities
• Experience leading the security scope on new-build data center projects from design through construction, commissioning, and turnover to operations
• Ability to work across both owned data centers and colocation space, with understanding of the operator/tenant dynamic
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with ability to drive security outcomes through cross-functional partners
• Ability to adapt to changing design and strategy, with flexibility and resilience in the face of ambiguity
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to calibrate security to business reality

Nice to Have

• CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or equivalent certification
• Experience with data center security technologies, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices, including those related to data center security and operations
