About the Role

The Lead Developer role at TransUnion is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership abilities. As a lead developer, you will be responsible for driving software projects forward, combining your high-level technical skills with team leadership and mentoring to ensure the successful delivery of projects. What You Will Do

  • Drive software projects from conception to delivery, using your technical expertise to inform and guide the development process
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their roles
  • Develop and implement coding standards, ensuring that all code is of the highest quality and meets the company's technical requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure that software projects are aligned with business objectives and meet customer needs
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to developers, helping to identify and address any technical issues or concerns
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that all projects are well-documented and easily maintainable
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical trends and developments, applying this knowledge to continuously improve the development process
  • Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure that all software projects meet the company's quality standards

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of software development experience, with a strong background in programming languages such as PHP
  • Proven experience of leading and mentoring development teams, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects
  • Deep technical expertise, with a strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
