Lead Developer

About the Role

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, developing and implementing coding standards, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard. You will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior developers, providing feedback and coaching to help them grow and develop in their roles.

What You Will Do

• Drive software projects from conception to delivery, using your technical expertise to inform and guide the development process
• Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their roles
• Develop and implement coding standards, ensuring that all code is of the highest quality and meets the company's technical requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed
• Work closely with the product team to ensure that software projects are aligned with business objectives and meet customer needs
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to developers, helping to identify and address any technical issues or concerns
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that all projects are well-documented and easily maintainable
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technical trends and developments, applying this knowledge to continuously improve the development process
• Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning and retrospectives
• Collaborate with the QA team to ensure that all software projects meet the company's quality standards

What We Are Looking For

• 10+ years of software development experience, with a strong background in programming languages such as PHP
• Proven experience of leading and mentoring development teams, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects
• Deep technical expertise, with a strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
• Experience of working in an agile development environment, with a strong understanding of agile methodologies and principles
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and guide junior developers
• Experience of developing and implementing coding standards, with a strong focus on quality and maintainability

Nice to Have

• Experience of working with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience of working with agile project management tools, such as Jira or Asana
• Certification in a relevant programming language or development methodology
