Job Description
About the Role
The Lead Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in DLB Associates' Mission Critical Department, focusing primarily on hyperscale data centers and related mission-critical facilities. As a key member of the Engineering Team, this individual will collaborate with design staff, oversee full-cycle electrical design activities, and interact closely with the Project Management Team. The successful candidate will be self-directed, able to execute and lead design teams, and design projects of complex scope.The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for communicating and operating in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, infrastructure, and equipment layouts, as well as experience with AutoCAD and Revit software.

What You Will Do
- Lead electrical engineering design activities, including development of electrical distribution systems and topologies
- Perform intermediate to advanced electrical design tasks, including infrastructure and equipment layouts and selection/sizing of equipment
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aids
- Review and/or prepare book or sheet specifications for electrical systems
- Develop and/or review sequences of operations
- Assist in proposal development, including project scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage project design teams, including resource forecasting and coordination
- Identify potential project scope changes and aid in development of strategies to minimize impact
- Support contact for design clients and build effective, long-term client relationships
- Survey existing building conditions and prepare technical reports of findings
- Collect data and other information for construction documents
- Prepare project design and construction documents
- Review shop drawings and submittals
- Review and respond to RFIs
- Review and complete punch lists and project closeout documents
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on mission-critical facilities
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, infrastructure, and equipment layouts
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit software
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and lead design teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, including advanced analytics and digital construction management platforms
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
