Lead Engineer & Technical Lead

About the Role

The day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with the team to design and implement AI-powered solutions, mentoring engineers, and contributing to the open-source framework of BridgeNode. Your experience in AI-first development, particularly in guiding engineers and shipping production AI systems, will be invaluable in driving the technical vision of Custom AI Solutions.

Given the nature of this role, the ability to work independently and manage your time effectively is crucial. You will be working closely with a US-based team, requiring strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate seamless collaboration.

What You Will Do

• Provide architectural direction and platform design decisions across VoxaCor and BridgeNode
• Perform code review and release-readiness assessments for production deployment
• Mentor and guide the engineering team in AI-first development principles
• Deliver hands-on production engineering across the real-time AI voice pipeline
• Design backend services, APIs, and data models for high-volume, multi-tenant production workloads
• Contribute to product and feature planning alongside the CEO
• Serve as the senior technical representative in customer and partner discussions
• Contribute to the development of BridgeNode open-source framework and VoxaCor proprietary feature layers
• Engage in technical discussions with the US-based team, providing expertise and guidance

What We Are Looking For

• 6+ years of full-stack engineering experience with senior-level production ownership
• Demonstrated experience in leading engineers and guiding release decisions
• Production experience building and shipping AI-powered applications
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and agent orchestration
• Real-time systems experience, including WebSockets, streaming APIs, or telephony/voice pipelines
• Strong database and API design fundamentals, particularly with PostgreSQL in a multi-tenant SaaS architecture
• Fluent English communication skills for collaboration and customer/partner interactions
• Ability to arrange reasonable collaboration windows with a US-based team
• Registered legal entity in Brazil for contractual purposes

Nice to Have

• Experience leading or mentoring distributed teams
• Knowledge of React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and PWA for frontend development
• Familiarity with Telnyx, Deepgram, WebRTC, and SIP for voice and telephony integration
• Experience with Azure, GitHub Actions CI/CD, and multi-tenant architecture
