About the Role
CodePath is revolutionizing the way we approach education in the tech industry. As a Lead Instructor for Applied AI Engineering, you'll be at the forefront of this movement, guiding students through hands-on, real-world projects that will prepare them for the demands of the industry. You'll be working closely with a team of senior engineers and industry experts to deliver high-quality instruction and support to students from diverse backgrounds. The role is seasonal, part-time, and remote, requiring up to 10 hours of work per week from May 25, 2026, to August 7, 2026.Your work will have a direct impact on the students, helping them to bridge the gap between theory and practice in AI engineering. You'll be reporting to the Program Manager and will be an integral part of the CodePath team.
What You Will Do
- Teach and mentor students in applied AI engineering, focusing on practical skills and real-world applications
- Develop and refine curriculum materials to ensure they are relevant, engaging, and effective
- Collaborate with other instructors and industry experts to share best practices and stay updated on industry trends
- Provide feedback and support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals
- Work with the CodePath team to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
- Utilize Salesforce and other industry tools to manage student data and program operations
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI engineering, incorporating new technologies and methodologies into the curriculum
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise
- Contribute to the development of a supportive community that fosters growth, inclusion, and innovation
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in AI engineering or a related field, with a strong background in applied AI projects
- Teaching or mentoring experience, preferably in a higher education or industry training setting
- Proficiency in Salesforce and other relevant industry tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, peers, and industry partners
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including first-generation and low-income students
- Commitment to CodePath's mission and values, with a passion for creating positive change in the tech industry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, with excellent time management and organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with other CRM systems or AI engineering tools
