Job Description

## About the Role As a Lead Materials & NDE Project Engineer at GE Vernova, you will play a critical role in driving new product introductions from concept to industrialization. Your expertise in materials and non-destructive evaluation (NDE) will be essential in coordinating technical deliverables across various departments, including Design, Supplier Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and R&D. You will lead technical reviews, align material selection and NDE strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME, ISO, ASTM, and EN.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in materials science and mechanical engineering, with a focus on metallic materials and NDE. You will be responsible for translating material specifications into method-specific NDE acceptance criteria, supporting special process qualification and audits, and maintaining accurate materials data in Hexagon Material Center.

## What You Will Do - Coordinate technical deliverables across Design, Supplier Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and R&D teams - Lead technical reviews and document decisions, actions, and status - Drive cross-functional alignment on material selection, NDE strategy, and special process capabilities - Provide materials expertise for selection, qualification, and application of metallic materials - Assess material behavior and its interaction with design requirements, manufacturing routes, and inspection capabilities - Support definition and optimization of material/process routes in collaboration with MPE, Design, Manufacturing, and Technology/R&D - Review and contribute to materials specifications, test plans, and qualification programs - Translate material specifications into method-specific NDE acceptance criteria - Define fields/templates for NDE acceptance levels, technique notes, reporting, and linked specifications in PLM and related systems - Collaborate with certified NDE personnel for formal approvals, written practices, and complex cases - Act as Special Process Specialist for defined non-ferrous and surface treatment processes

## What We Are Looking For - Degree in Materials or Mechanical Engineering (materials-focused) - Relevant years of experience in a similar role, with deep knowledge of metallic materials and NDE - Exposure to non-ferrous/surface treatment processes - Strong English communication skills (Polish or Spanish a plus) - Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams - Experience with Excel and other relevant software tools - Strong understanding of industry standards such as ASME, ISO, ASTM, and EN - Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records and reports

## Nice to Have - Experience with PLM workflows (rPDM today, Teamcenter in the future) - Knowledge of special process qualification and audits - Familiarity with Hexagon Material Center and other materials management software - Certification in NDE or a related field
