About the Role
The Lead Product Manager will play a crucial role in shaping Alkami's data platform strategy and roadmap. This senior individual contributor position will have a significant impact on the company's broader product strategy, and the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern data platforms and the technical fluency to engage with engineering teams. The role will involve leading product across two engineering organizations, one focused on data ingestion and the other on data cleansing, modeling, and insights generation.As a key member of the product team, the Lead Product Manager will be responsible for defining and championing the product vision for the unified data layer and the intelligence layer. This will involve driving a strong point of view on data governance, quality, lineage, definitions, and standards across both ingestion and modeling domains. The role will also require partnering with various stakeholders, including engineering, data science, sales, and client success teams.
Alkami is a digital sales and service platform provider for U.S. banks and credit unions, and the Lead Product Manager will be instrumental in helping the company achieve its mission of delivering exceptional customer experiences through data-driven solutions.
What You Will Do
- Own and evolve a multi-year roadmap spanning data ingestion, data modeling, and intelligence capabilities
- Translate Alkami's broader product strategy into a coherent platform strategy
- Define and champion the product vision for the unified data layer and the intelligence layer
- Drive a strong point of view on data governance, quality, lineage, definitions, and standards
- Partner with the data ingestion engineering team to deliver scalable, cloud-native pipelines
- Partner with the data cleansing, modeling, and insights engineering team to deliver curated, high-trust analytic models
- Shape the intelligence layer roadmap in close partnership with Data Science
- Act as the voice of the customer and provide input on product priorities and trade-offs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and monitor key business and platform metrics
- Use data insights to continuously optimize delivery and value
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on data platforms and analytics
- Deep domain knowledge of modern data platforms, including data ingestion, data modeling, and machine learning
- Technical fluency to engage credibly with engineering teams
- Strategic judgment to operate at a platform level
- Leadership presence to align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Client Success
- Experience with agile development methodologies and cloud-based technologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with data governance and quality initiatives
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
