What You Will Do

  • Oversee product planning and feature prioritization for user safety and anti-abuse features.
  • Proactively seek feedback from user communities to inform product development.
  • Maintain strong, candid relationships with user communities on behalf of Wikimedia Foundation and the Product Safety and Integrity team.
  • Contribute to shaping Wikimedia's overall strategic direction in user safety and anti-abuse.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders in other departments to ensure aligned efforts.
  • Stay updated on current technologies and developments in online safety, security, and privacy.
  • Analyze data to inform product decisions and measure the impact of safety initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in product development, with a focus on internet- and consumer-facing software.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Proven success in leading product initiatives that involve coordinating multiple functions across an organization.
  • Comfort and experience in querying and analyzing data to drive solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, staff, and communities.
