About the Role
The Lead Regulatory Affairs Licensing Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for GE Vernova's nuclear operations. This position is responsible for managing the company's 10 CFR Part 21 Program, coordinating licensing projects, and interacting with regulatory bodies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of nuclear regulatory affairs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.As a key member of the regulatory affairs team, the Lead Regulatory Affairs Licensing Engineer will contribute to the development of licensing strategies, preparation of regulatory submissions, and coordination of stakeholder engagement. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What You Will Do
- Manage GE Vernova's 10 CFR Part 21 Program, including development of program procedures and coordination of audits
- Coordinate and prepare Licensing Topical Reports (LTRs), including preparation of responses to customer and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) questions
- Prepare and review licensing documentation and reports supporting customer License Amendment Request (LAR) applications
- Support customer 10 CFR 50.59 reviews, including preparation of Technical Safety Evaluation Reports and working with internal teams evaluating licensing status of various fuel and methodology changes
- Interface with customers and regulatory personnel on regulatory issues, and secure applicable permissions and approvals related to project scopes
- Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely completion of licensing projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and quality assurance
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff members
- Participate in regulatory audits and inspections, as required
- Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 3 years of direct commercial nuclear experience, including experience contributing to complex projects and cross-functional coordination
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage workload and set priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with regulatory compliance and licensing projects
- Knowledge of nuclear regulatory requirements, including 10 CFR Part 21 and 10 CFR Part 50
- Experience with project management tools and software
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
