About the Role

The Lead Sales Engineering Specialist - Security role at Fivetran is a critical position that bridges the gap between sales, engineering, and security. As a key member of the global sales engineering specialist team, you will be responsible for addressing customer security concerns, providing technical guidance, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure the security and integrity of Fivetran's data integration platform. This role requires a deep understanding of security technologies, cloud computing platforms, and compliance frameworks, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Fivetran's data integration platform is designed to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. By working closely with sales and field sales engineering teams, you will help to satisfy customers' security needs, provide timely responses to security questionnaires, and engage in customer-facing infosec calls.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical guidance and support to sales and field sales engineering teams on security-related matters
  • Collaborate with internal SRE and Product teams to ensure the security and integrity of Fivetran's platform
  • Address customer security concerns and provide timely responses to security questionnaires
  • Engage in customer-facing infosec calls and provide technical expertise on security features and compliance
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Fivetran's data integration platform, deployment methods, and security features
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, trends, and compliance frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and demos to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in sales calls and meetings to provide technical expertise and support

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, data loss prevention systems, and encryption
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Familiarity with security and data privacy compliance frameworks, such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, and GDPR
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential security risks

  • Experience with Fivetran's data integration platform and deployment methods
  • Knowledge of hybrid and self-hosted deployment models
  • Familiarity with security and compliance tools, such as security information and event management (SIEM) systems
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
