As a Lead Sales Engineering Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales teams with deep technical knowledge of our platform and its security features. You will work closely with our field sales engineering teams to satisfy customers' security needs, provide timely responses to security questionnaires, and engage in customer-facing infosec calls. What You Will Do

  • Provide technical guidance and support to sales teams on Fivetran's data integration platform and its security features
  • Collaborate with field sales engineering teams to satisfy customers' security needs and provide timely responses to security questionnaires
  • Engage in customer-facing infosec calls and provide expert technical guidance on data security and compliance
  • Work closely with our internal SRE and Product teams to ensure Fivetran's platform security and compliance with industry standards
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Fivetran's competitors and market trends
  • Participate in sales calls, product demos, and proof-of-concept engagements to drive sales growth and customer adoption
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, whitepapers, and case studies to showcase Fivetran's capabilities and value proposition
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to develop sales enablement materials and thought leadership content

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Expertise in data security, compliance, and risk management
  • Experience with data integration platforms, deployment methods, and security features
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate with distributed teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption

Nice to Have

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Familiarity with hybrid and self-hosted deployment models
  • Knowledge of security and data privacy compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, and GDPR
  • Experience with sales engineering tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar
