About the Role

The Lead Sales Specialist role at GE Vernova is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and digital proficiency. As a key member of the sales organization, you will be responsible for promoting the company's energy solutions to datacenter and industrial clients, with a focus on medium-sized sales territories. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and marketing, to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

The role is part of GE Vernova's efforts to grow its activities in North America, particularly in the Datacenter segment, by promoting solutions for energy storage and automation. You will be the North America representative, responsible for promoting the EMS solution to accelerate its growth in the Datacenter, Industrial businesses, and Electrical energy production sectors.

What You Will Do

  • Promote the EMS solution to key customers in the Datacenter and Industrial sectors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing technical and commercial responsiveness
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify new business opportunities and develop sales strategies
  • Provide technical expertise to sales and commercial operations teams, including selecting and implementing competitive solutions
  • Utilize conceptual thinking to quickly determine the applicability of GE Vernova's solutions to customer challenges
  • Prepare technical proposals, including fulfilling deviation lists and planning documents
  • Challenge and follow up with concerned teams to ensure on-time delivery throughout the bid process
  • Support regional commercial operations in converting technical proposals into commercial proposals
  • Track opportunity status and collaborate on sourcebook articles and technical proposal templates
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and communicate them to the sales team
  • Generate cost estimates for proposed solutions and establish quoting limits

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Automation, Power Electronics Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial, engineering, or technical sales function
  • Strong technical expertise in power balancing, fossil power plants, and renewable energy
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines
  • Willingness to travel domestically and globally (up to 30% of the time)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the energy or datacenter industry
  • Knowledge of digital features such as Business Optimization and Operations Optimization
  • Familiarity with power electronics systems, BESS, and EMS
  • Certification in sales or a related field
