About the Role

The Lead Software Engineer position at Attain Finance is a critical role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced software solutions that drive business growth and innovation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and other engineers, to develop and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance software systems.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of software development disciplines and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time. You will be a technical authority, able to provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, and a thought leader, able to drive engineering initiatives forward and promote a culture of technical excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to design and implement advanced software solutions
  • Assist the team manager with technical decision-making, providing informed recommendations on system design, architecture, and modernization initiatives
  • Interface with architects and other team leads to ensure that organizational standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices are clearly communicated and implemented
  • Help define, champion, and implement engineering best practices, including high standards for code quality, rigorous testing strategies, and secure coding practices
  • Identify and assess technical debt, strategically prioritize the most impactful areas, and drive thoughtful, incremental improvements
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and lead by example in how ownership should look across a team
  • Drive production readiness by ensuring systems meet high standards of reliability, performance, and scalability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into elegant, full-stack designs
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on .NET and React
  • Proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time, with a strong emphasis on quality and reliability
  • Expert-level mastery of software development disciplines, including architecture, design, and engineering
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring junior engineers and driving engineering initiatives forward
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS, and relational databases
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
