Job Description

## About the Role As a Lead, Strategic Initiatives, you will be part of the Operations & Member Experience organization, specifically within the Strategy & Innovation Team. This team is responsible for defining the multi-year strategy for OMX and identifying opportunities for step-function improvement in Chime's support experience. Your focus will be on building the future of member support experiences, constantly looking ahead to what's next. You will collaborate with various teams, including product, engineering, analytics, and operations, to advocate for Chime members and drive strategic initiatives forward.

The Strategic Initiatives Team serves as an incubation unit, tasked with proving out new ideas and initiatives that can significantly enhance the member experience. This role requires a self-starter who can thrive in a flat, fast-moving organization, navigate ambiguity, and align diverse collaborators. You will need to be comfortable making data-driven decisions in an ever-changing environment and have a strong ability to influence outcomes with Chime executives and key collaborators.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement cross-functional strategic initiatives, perform analyses, and conduct research to inform decision-making. You will also effectively present insights and influence outcomes with Chime executives and key collaborators, bringing structure to ambiguous problems and developing well-structured narratives to drive clarity and alignment around new ideas.

## What You Will Do - Develop and implement cross-functional strategic initiatives to create and scale world-class support experiences for Chime members - Perform analyses and conduct research to assess new opportunities and inform decision-making - Effectively present insights and influence outcomes with Chime executives and key collaborators - Bring structure to ambiguous problems, including defining clear problem statements, analytical frameworks, and quantifiable metrics for measuring success - Develop and deliver well-structured and compelling narratives that drive clarity, understanding, and alignment around new ideas - Partner with teams across product, engineering, analytics, operations, and more to advocate for Chime members and drive strategic initiatives forward - Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new initiatives and processes - Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for strategic initiatives - Identify and mitigate risks associated with new initiatives and develop contingency plans as needed

## What We Are Looking For - 8+ years of professional experience, including delivering strategic and operational projects at top-tier management consulting firms - A strong skill set across analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking - A drive to dig into data, think from first principles, and complete complex projects and deliver tangible results - Ability to synthesize disparate information quickly to develop a succinct, accurate summary of the opportunity/need - A proven track record of leading complex projects involving multiple teams/collaborators from conception to execution - Low ego and a knack for working well with a wide range of people - Exceptional communication and presentation skills - Comfort operating in a fast-paced, agile environment - Experience working with digital products and services, preferably in the financial technology sector

## Nice to Have - Experience with project management tools and software, such as Asana or Trello - Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI - Certification in management consulting, such as an MBA or equivalent - Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
