About the Role

The Wikimedia Foundation seeks a Lead Technical Accountant to join its Accounting team. This role involves serving as a key subject matter expert on accounting policy, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical accounting guidance to ensure clear and consistent application of accounting policies.
  • Lead key components of the annual financial statement audit and Form 990 financial reporting.
  • Partner with colleagues to ensure high-quality financial reporting for both the Wikimedia Foundation and the Wikimedia Endowment.
