Job Description

About the Role

The Lead Warranty Claims Manager will play a critical role in GE Vernova's Global Site Issue Management team, reporting directly to the NU Global Warranty Leader. This position entails evaluating and dispositioning warranty claims for GE Gas Power customers in accordance with individual contract terms and conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Lean principles to optimize workstream productivity and maximize customer value.

As a key member of the Warranty Manager team, the Lead Warranty Claims Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical cases and support claim validity and disposition. This role requires a strong understanding of warranty policy and standard work, as well as the ability to interpret customer contracts and determine claim validity.

What You Will Do

  • Execute customer warranty claim evaluation and disposition in line with warranty policy and standard work
  • Interpret customer NU contract warranty terms and conditions to determine claim validity
  • Review technical case resolution to support claim validity and disposition
  • Use Lean to drive culture, continuous improvement, and workstream productivity
  • Generate ideas to maximize customer value and GE Gas Power business growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical cases and support claim validity and disposition
  • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize warranty claims processing
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure seamless collaboration and issue resolution

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • At least 3 years of experience in warranty claims processing, contract terms and conditions, and warranty policy
  • Strong understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed global organization
  • Customer-focused with clear, concise written and oral communications to the appropriate level
  • Demonstrated capability in working within a matrixed global organization, with experience in driving change and continuous improvement
  • Basic knowledge of Six Sigma DMAIC, 3 x 5 Why's, or other Root Cause techniques
  • Basic knowledge of LEAN techniques

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Power Generation equipment installation, operation, service, or technical support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Experience working in a remote or flexible work environment, with a strong ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively
