About the Role
The Leadership Development Program in Wind Operations at NextEra Energy is a unique opportunity for individuals to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to lead in the wind operations field. This 5-month rotational program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of wind power generation facilities and the skills needed to manage and lead these operations safely and efficiently. As part of the program, participants will engage in various training sessions and rotational assignments. Upon completion of the program, participants will be assigned to a final site within NextEra Energy's US portfolio, where they will apply the skills and knowledge gained during the program.
What You Will Do
- Participate in a 5-month rotational program that includes training and assignments at two of NextEra Energy's facilities.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and safety of wind power generation facilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals and objectives.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize facility operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
- Lead and manage teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
- Conduct site visits to monitor operations and provide technical support as needed.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasting resource needs and optimizing expenditure.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, applying this knowledge to continuously improve operations.
What We Are Looking For
- Fluency in English.
- Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering, or 5 years of equivalent experience in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated adaptability to different geographic locations for potential future roles.
- At least five years of hands-on experience in leading field services operations, preferably within wind turbines or rotating equipment.
- Proficiency in collaborating effectively within a complex organizational structure and across all levels of the company.
- Strong executive presentation skills.
- Quality Tools and Techniques, Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
- Proficient in network infrastructure, communication protocols, and web technology.
- Established track record of managing profit and loss responsibilities.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities and a track record of thriving in cross-functional environments.

- Experience with digital tools and technologies relevant to wind operations.
- Knowledge of renewable energy policies and regulations.
- Certification in a relevant field, such as wind energy or project management.
