The Lead/Principal Account Solution Engineer role at Salesforce is a unique opportunity to drive AI innovation and customer success. As a key member of the Strategic Technology segment, you will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to develop thoughtful solutions that address their biggest challenges. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting deep-dive discovery sessions, and delivering transformational pitches that showcase the value of Salesforce's holistic platform capabilities.The role is part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation and growth through AI-powered solutions. As a Lead/Principal Account Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for building deep, trusted relationships with C-suite, engineering leadership, and technical stakeholders. You will need to demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of your customer's technical ecosystem and articulate how Salesforce solutions integrate at scale.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a main technical voice for your account team and work with one of the world's most sophisticated AI-native organizations
- Build deep, trusted relationships with C-suite, engineering leadership, and technical stakeholders
- Demonstrate how Salesforce's holistic platform capabilities complement and integrate with OpenAI's own models and infrastructure
- Take ambiguous, complex business problems and apply an AI-first mindset to define the challenge, identify opportunities, and recommend practical, scalable solutions
- Guide customers through solution evaluation and analysis, aligning stakeholders and co-developing new frameworks that deliver lasting value
- Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions with engineering, IT, and business teams to uncover core challenges and architectural requirements
- Deliver transformational pitches grounded in live product demonstrations that validate the business case and path to value using the full Salesforce platform
- Design and deliver compelling, customized product demonstrations and rapid prototypes tailored to a wide range of technical, business, and executive personas
- Orchestrate cross-functional solution teams, including Specialist SEs, Architects, Data and AI experts, and more
- Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and technologies
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a solution engineering or similar role, with a strong focus on AI-powered solutions
- Deep expertise in Generative AI and Salesforce's holistic platform capabilities
- Strong technical acumen and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven track record of driving business growth through AI-first solutions
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development
- Strong understanding of the competitive landscape and the latest industry trends and technologies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
Nice to Have
- Experience working with OpenAI or other AI-native organizations
- Knowledge of Salesforce's Einstein AI platform and its applications
- Certification in Salesforce Administration or Development
