About the Role
The Learner Services Advisor role is a vital part of Ultimate Medical Academy's commitment to providing high-quality education to its students. As a Learner Services Advisor, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting students throughout their educational journey. This role entails working closely with students to understand their unique needs, aspirations, and challenges, and providing personalized support to help them achieve their academic goals.The Learner Services Advisor will be part of a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about education and student success. The role reports to a senior member of the team and will involve regular communication and collaboration with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.

What You Will Do
- Provide academic guidance to learners, assisting them with course navigation, academic policies, and course expectations
- Regularly engage with learners as a primary point of contact to address their non-academic inquiries and concerns via voice, text, and video
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement retention initiatives and identify at-risk learners
- Contribute to achieving individual, team, and departmental retention goals
- Participate in and contribute to team collaboration and communication, including virtual events and digital workspaces
- Engage with team members on camera and in digital workspaces
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Develop and implement strategies to support learners' academic success
- Foster a collaborative and personalized approach to learning
- Stay up-to-date with the latest educational technologies and trends
- Communicate effectively with learners, colleagues, and other stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to learn basic technical computer skills
- Time management and personal accountability skills
- Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English
- Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment
- Computer literacy and basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Multi-tasking and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Desire for growth and professional development
Nice to Have
- Any degree or equivalent experience
- Strong or advanced proficiency in required skills
- 1+ years' experience in customer service, contact center, or hospitality role
- Experience working in an educational setting
- Familiarity with educational technologies and trends
