About the Role
The Legal Billing Specialist plays a critical role in managing the financial aspects of Securitas' legal department, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor bills and departmental billings. This temporary, full-time position requires a skilled professional with expertise in Excel and Legal Tracker, who can work independently and efficiently in a remote setting. The successful candidate will be part of a team that values strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.As a key member of the legal department, the Legal Billing Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and managing vendor bills, processing settlement and check requests, and collating data for reporting purposes. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under multiple deadlines. The Legal Billing Specialist will also be the primary liaison with outside billing services and accounts payable, resolving vendor concerns and assisting with special projects as assigned.

What You Will Do
- Coordinate and manage vendor bills, ensuring timely and accurate payment
- Process settlement and check requests, and collate data for reporting purposes
- Design, organize, maintain, and update outside counsel lists, including updating rates and approved panel members
- Resolve vendor concerns and assist with special projects as assigned
- Work with the Risk Management Department and insurers regarding deductible matters and documentation
- Create and submit reconciliation spreadsheets
- Open and close matters on Legal Tracker
- Assist department attorneys and managers with various office tasks
- Manage departmental billings, including bills from law firms and vendors
What We Are Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5-7 years of related billing experience
- Experience with Legal Tracker legal billing software
- Knowledge of financial programs, with Oracle ERP preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Legal Tracker
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under multiple deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with accounts payable and vendor management
- Familiarity with billing and invoicing software
- Certification in legal billing or a related field
