About the Role

The Legal Consultant - Commercial Contracts role is a part-time opportunity to join Axiom's team of expert legal professionals. As a key member of the team, you will provide guidance on commercial matters, including contract negotiation, drafting, and review. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and identify legal risks in commercial transactions. With a focus on delivering high-quality results, you will work closely with clients to draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor contracts, service agreements, licensing agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping Axiom's clients navigate complex commercial transactions. As a part-time consultant, you will have the flexibility to work remotely or on-site with clients, depending on their preferences.

What You Will Do

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on commercial matters, including contract negotiation, drafting, and review
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, service agreements, licensing agreements, and confidentiality agreements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and identify legal risks and considerations in commercial transactions
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in the law and industry developments
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge
  • Utilize Excel to analyze and present data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results
  • Identify and mitigate potential legal risks in commercial transactions

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Familiarity with a wide range of commercial contracts, including service agreements, IP licensing agreements, software agreements, supply and procurement agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law and regulations
