About the Role
As a Liability Determination Adjuster at Allstate, you will play a crucial role in guiding customers through the claims process after a single- or multi-vehicle accident. Your primary objective will be to provide empathetic support and clear communication to policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders. You will work closely with customers, claimants, vendors, and other carriers to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. The role offers the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home, with a dedicated workspace that meets Allstate's requirements. What You Will Do
- Investigate liability claims by reviewing damage details, gathering information, and interpreting policy coverage
- Communicate with customers, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair shops, and other partners using phone, email, text, and sometimes video
- Evaluate claims, negotiate fair settlements, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Document claim records clearly and accurately, following policy guidelines and maintaining up-to-date claims systems
- Lead liability investigations, applying strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve issues
- Connect with customers through their preferred communication method, explaining the process, answering questions, and keeping them updated on their claim
- Work directly with customers, claimants, vendors, and other carriers to evaluate and negotiate fair settlements
- Use sound judgment and negotiation strategies to navigate challenging situations
- Protect the company and customers by maintaining accurate and detailed claim records
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including claims teams, underwriters, and other adjusters
What We Are Looking For

- Experience in claims adjusting, insurance, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to obtain an adjuster's license in multiple markets within 60 days of hire
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
