Job Description

About the Role

As a Licensed Insurance Sales Agent at Jerry, you will play a critical role in helping prospective customers understand and choose the right insurance policies for their needs. This is a 100% remote position, and you will be provided with all the necessary equipment to succeed. With a focus on personal line auto and home insurance policies, you will be working with customers who have come to Jerry through their mobile or web app, eliminating the need for outbound calls.

The insurance industry is rapidly evolving, with technological advancements and shifting consumer behaviors driving change. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with over 55 insurance carrier partners, ensuring that customers receive the best options for their needs. You will be responsible for preparing and binding quotes, educating customers on policy details, and effectively problem-solving to remove barriers to purchasing. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, you will be expected to provide attentive, high-energy conversations that demonstrate your commitment to finding the best policy for each individual.

What You Will Do

  • Respond to inbound calls from prospective customers for personal line auto and home insurance policies
  • Educate customers on insurance policy details, including coverage and pricing
  • Prepare and bind quotes through Jerry's carrier partners
  • Effectively problem-solve and objection-handle to remove barriers to purchasing
  • Provide attentive, high-energy conversations with customers to ensure they receive the best policy for their needs
  • Work closely with the sales team to achieve sales targets and expand Jerry's customer base
  • Participate in ongoing training and mentorship to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
  • Utilize digital tools and platforms to manage customer interactions and policy sales
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer complaints and improve the overall customer experience

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in insurance sales or a related field
  • Active P&C license (or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of starting)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Passion for helping others and making a positive impact on people's lives
  • Digital skills and experience working with remote teams
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies and carrier partnerships
