About the Role
As a Licensed Insurance Sales Agent at Nerdwallet, you will play a pivotal role in the launch of NerdWallet Insurance Experts, a brand-new segment designed to simplify insurance shopping for consumers. You will work closely with customers to evaluate their insurance needs, recommend suitable products, and guide them through the quoting, comparing, and binding process. Your expertise will be crucial in building strong relationships with clients and driving revenue growth.The day-to-day activities of this role will involve client consultations, policy comparisons, and application processing. You will also be responsible for managing policy renewals, providing claims support, and staying informed about current products, compliance requirements, and industry updates. Your goal will be to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining high client retention rates.

What You Will Do
- Conduct client assessments to evaluate insurance needs and potential risks
- Meet or exceed sales goals by policy premium
- Recommend appropriate insurance products, including auto, home, life, and health insurance
- Clearly explain policy terms, coverage, and pricing to clients
- Prepare and submit insurance applications and related documentation
- Manage policy renewals and provide support to clients through the claims process
- Stay informed about current products, compliance requirements, and industry updates
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to revenue growth
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of applications
- Report on sales performance and relevant metrics
What We Are Looking For
- Active Property and Casualty Insurance License
- Minimum of one year of experience as a P&C insurance agent, with three to five years of experience required for a level 2 agent
- Independent agency background in personal lines, with demonstrated success quoting and binding across a multi-carrier marketplace
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with personal lines insurance carriers and their underwriting processes
- Proficiency in CRM tools, email platforms, and quoting software
- Experience quoting, selling, and servicing personal lines insurance products
- Understanding of relevant insurance products and regulations

- Previous experience in sales or customer service
