Job Description

## About the Role As a licensed land surveyor at Nexgen Enterprises, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing various surveying projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring compliance with state statutes and company standards. You will work closely with field crews, CAD technicians, and project managers to deliver high-quality results and exceptional customer service. The role entails managing and executing surveying projects from inception to completion, conducting field surveys, analyzing data, and preparing detailed maps and reports. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be valuable assets in this position. ## What You Will Do - Manage and execute surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with state statutes and company standards.

  • Conduct and oversee field surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys, utilizing GPS, Total Station, and other advanced equipment.
  • Analyze survey data to prepare detailed maps and reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
  • Review and certify the accuracy of survey documents, ensuring all deliverables meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with field crews, CAD technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Stay informed about changes in surveying laws and regulations to ensure all practices remain compliant.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining high performance standards.
  • Utilize Excel to manage and analyze data, as well as to create reports and presentations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices and standards.
## What We Are Looking For - Active Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license in the State of Florida, in accordance with Chapter 472 of the Florida Statutes.
  • Bachelor's degree in surveying and mapping, geomatics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive surveying experience under the supervision of a licensed PSM, demonstrating responsible charge over surveying tasks.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS, Total Station, and other surveying equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
## Nice to Have - Experience with other surveying software and equipment, such as drones or aerial photography.
  • Certification in a related field, such as construction or engineering.
  • Experience working in a team environment and contributing to the development of best practices and standards.
  • Familiarity with Florida surveying laws and regulations.
