About the Role

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at OptiMindHealth, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients in need. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing support and guidance. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians who share a passion for improving access to mental health care.

The role is highly flexible, with options for full-time or part-time work, as well as the ability to work from home or in one of our physical offices. Our administrative support team will handle all non-clinical tasks, allowing you to focus on what matters most - providing excellent care to your patients.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with other clinicians to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Participate in regular supervision and training sessions
  • Develop and lead groups and workshops on mental health topics
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care

What We Are Looking For

  • Master's degree in Counseling or related field
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification
  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse patient populations
  • Proficiency in Excel and electronic medical records
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Nice to Have

  • Experience with telehealth platforms
  • Certification in a specialized area of counseling (e.g. CBT, DBT)
  • Experience working with specific patient populations (e.g. children, adolescents)
  • Knowledge of mental health laws and regulations
