About the Role

The Lithuanian Localization QA Tester Proofreader position at Welo Global is a unique opportunity for individuals with a passion for language and quality assurance to join a global team. As part of a dynamic team, the successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to review, refine, and test localized content across different platforms.

Day-to-day, this involves a meticulous approach to detail, ensuring that all content is free from errors, consistent in formatting, and adheres to cultural and contextual accuracy. The role also involves hands-on testing of products, identifying and reporting localization bugs, and collaborating with the team to implement fixes. Occasionally, the candidate may also be responsible for translating content from English into Lithuanian, further utilizing their linguistic skills.

What You Will Do

  • Review and refine localized content to ensure accuracy, cultural relevance, and polish.
  • Execute test cases to identify localization bugs and report issues through internal bug-tracking systems.
  • Verify that fixes have been implemented correctly after reporting bugs.
  • Translate content from English into Lithuanian as needed.
  • Explore user interfaces to identify localization or functional issues, contributing to a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain high-quality standards and adhere to project-specific guidelines.
  • Utilize best practices to write and report relevant bugs and errors through the internal database system.
  • Prioritize tasks and issues efficiently, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Apply native-level Lithuanian fluency and cultural awareness to all aspects of the role.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
  • Adhere to and implement project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, and client-preferred checklists and glossaries.
