About the Role

The Litigation Paralegal role at Sneed & Mitchell LLP is a critical position that supports the firm's personal injury practice. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files, ensuring compliance with court requirements, and serving as a reliable advocate for clients. Your work will have a direct impact on the lives of individuals who have been catastrophically injured, and your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in driving successful outcomes.

You will work closely with attorneys and other staff members to ensure that all aspects of each case are thoroughly managed, from document review and creation to trial preparation.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, including all relevant documents and correspondence
  • Work closely with attorneys to ensure compliance with court requirements and deadlines
  • Serve as a reliable advocate for clients, responding to their inquiries and providing support throughout the litigation process
  • Review, create, and organize documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
  • Compile information for discovery responses, interrogatories, and other legal documents
  • Prepare files, generate reports, and perform legal research as needed
  • Investigate and compile records, and draft routine documents for legal counsel review
  • Notify attorneys of pressing client and docket issues, and help determine ongoing client needs
  • Contact clients to inquire about their post-accident treatment and recovery process
  • Calendaring and document management, including review, creation, and organization of documents

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate
  • At least five years of litigation work experience, preferably in a personal injury practice
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Certificate may be required based on region, state, or client requirements

Nice to Have

  • Experience with case management software and other legal technology tools
  • Familiarity with Texas state laws and regulations
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Prior experience working in a remote or virtual environment
