About the Role
As a Looker Data Engineer at Tech Holding, you will be responsible for building and optimizing data models, developing scalable reporting solutions, and enabling data-driven decision making through Looker and modern data stack technologies. This is a contract-based position, offering the opportunity to work on a project-based assignment and support a key client initiative. You will also be working closely with the data transformation and pipeline development team to support the development of scalable, consumable data models.

What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain Looker data models, including LookML, models, and explores
- Build and optimize scalable, consumable data models to support business intelligence and strategic decision making
- Utilize Looker API 4.0 to enable programmatic access to dashboards, looks, and explores
- Automate report generation and delivery using Looker API endpoints
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency
- Work with Snowflake, dbt, and Python to support data transformation and pipeline development
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable BI solutions
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting layers
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and architectures to support data-driven decision making
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Looker and modern data stack technologies
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of Looker development experience (LookML, models, explores)
- Experience working with Looker API 4.0 for programmatic access
- Ability to automate reporting using Looker API endpoints
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Python
- SQL experience with query optimization
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data governance principles
- Experience working in a client-facing or consulting environment
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Looker administration experience
- Experience working with BigQuery
